Side-by-Side Tours of Econfina River
Explore the wild beauty of Florida’s Forgotten Coast from behind the wheel of a Polaris side-by-side. These guided tours take you deep into landscapes most people never see—through marshes, hardwood swamps, grassy flats, and along the edge of the Gulf.
Every guest at Econfina (Ee-ca-fee-na) Sporting Club has access to their own side-by-side, but we highly recommend starting with a guided tour. It’s the best way to get familiar with the terrain, discover key areas, and experience the land with someone who knows it inside and out.
The Experience
Our signature tours take place in Hickory Mound Wildlife Management Area—over 14,000 acres of protected coastal habitat known for its marshes, wetlands, and incredible wildlife viewing.
Depending on the time of year and conditions, we also offer guided rides through select areas of the surrounding 450,000 acres of Florida management land where side-by-sides are permitted. Each route is chosen to match what’s best at the time—whether that’s wildlife movement, scenery, or overall riding conditions.
Along the way, you’ll experience:
- Expansive marshes and impounded wetlands
- Hardwood swamps and remote backcountry trails
- Scenic coastal views overlooking the Gulf
- Observation points, including a tower with panoramic views
Wildlife sightings are common and part of what makes every ride unique. You may see:
- Ducks, herons, egrets, and a variety of shorebirds
- Bald eagles and other raptors
- Deer, hogs, bobcats, and alligators
This is an excellent outing for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone looking to experience the natural side of the Forgotten Coast.
